The set up for the SB53 is very easy, install the Smart Life app, connect your device to your WiFi (2.4GHz). Turn the bulb ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON at the wall, wait 4 seconds and then the bulb will start to flash. Then simply follow the in app instructions. Easy! This smart bulb can be controlled either by the Smart Life app or Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. I found it very easy to set up and start using the SB53 even with my Google Assistant! There are one or two things I found a little odd with this smart bulb namely a few of the 'scene' modes, you can see them in this review and I have no idea as why you would use them. Overall this is a great smart bulb and is very bright in the 100% mode (1300 Lumens). The bulb is quite large but well made and you can feel the weight of the electronics pack inside it. The SB53 Smart Bulb has some useful features and some not so useful features to it.
