Legian, Bali. Wednesday, 28 January 2026. Today, Legian, Bali is covered by cloudy skies, with the air feeling like rain could fall at any moment. Surprisingly, throughout our entire walk, no rain arrives, allowing us to enjoy a calm and comfortable afternoon exploring one of Bali’s most iconic tourist areas. We begin our walk along Legian Beach, where the ocean breeze and overcast sky create a relaxed coastal atmosphere. The beach feels peaceful, offering a different mood compared to bright sunny days. From there, we continue along Legian Beach Road, a popular route for tourists heading between hotels, shops, and the beachfront. Next, we enter Padma Street, walking all the way to its eastern end. This street plays an important role in connecting several key areas of Legian and is lined with cafes, restaurants, and accommodation often favoured by returning visitors. We then turn right onto Legian Main Street, one of the busiest arterial roads linking Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak. At the intersection, we turn right into Melasti Street, an area known for its shops, markets, and lively pedestrian activity. From there, we turn right again into Sahadewa Street, better known among Australian travellers as Garlic Lane. This narrow street is famous for souvenir shopping, bargain hunting, and casual dining, and remains a must-visit spot for many tourists. Our walk continues into Padma Utara Street, an area well known as a long-stay base for many Australian visitors who return to Bali year after year. With its relaxed vibe, familiar faces, and strong Bali–Australia connection, Padma Utara truly reflects the timeless appeal of Legian as a favourite holiday destination. We hope you enjoy this virtual walking tour of Legian, and that it gives you a genuine feel of the atmosphere on a cloudy, rain-free afternoon in Bali.
