Join me on our walkthrough at Downtown Container Park- an offbeat shopping center built from shopping container with playground. It is free entry but you’ll have to pay for parking across the street or you can park at the casino with validation. Shop and restaurants prices vary. It is walking distance from Fremont street, Experience, located at Fremont street and 7th street in the heart of Downtown, just about 2 blocks past a light canopy where the Deuce bus stop is, Neopolis and the zipline. One of the blocks is the El Cortez Hotel and Casino which is just across it. We went for a walk from Four Queens hotel which is the center of Fremont Street experience during the day, it was just a short walk, non- issue at all. I can say it’s safe. It is a great place for families with children. Some weekends they do have events or gatherings and live entertainment. Container park has its iconic 40-foot long Praying Mantis which is considered the world’s largest fire-breathing praying mantis. The metallic mantis burns about 50 gallons of propane each night and flames can reach six stories high., this setting the world record for being the World’s Largest Fire- Breathing Praying Mantis, according to the World Record Academy.
