It is our mission to raise awareness of Costa Rica's hidden sport fish, the machaca! This fish lives in some of the most beautiful places in the country and is desperately in need of better conservation efforts to ensure that these beautiful jungle rivers can be preserved for future generations. Currently Costa Rica puts most of their resources towards rainforests and offshore fishing, however, it is our hope that through raising awareness of this fish species as an international sport fish and promotion of sustainable fishing practices like catch and release and single hook use we can see more focus put towards protecting these special fish.
