A few days ago Chris Gayle gave my one of his bats for a repair/refurbishment. This is a look at his bat, what I've done to it and what I can do for your broken bats. Few details on CG's bat: Spartan Chris Gayle Authority, 3lb 3oz, 3 grips, full shape, lighter cleft. The cracking may not be due to the pressing but that is my opinion. Other opinions may include how hard Gayle hits the ball and his workload using each bat. Usually pro bats aren't pressed as much and performance is more important that durability since they get around 6 bats each season. Bats in the stores are generally more pressed.
