#triballife #africantradition #nomadiclife #rainyday For several days in our traditional homestead, life moved in its familiar, peaceful rhythm. We are pastoralists, and our days are shaped by the animals we keep and the land we farm. Livestock is our livelihood, our heritage, and our pride. Every morning begins with the soft sounds of cows, goats, and sheep, and the scent of fresh air sweeping across the homestead. During this season, we prepared one of our favorite traditional meals. We slow cooked cow steak in a clay pot, letting it simmer gently in ghee until it became tender and full of flavor. From the rich, natural broth of the meat, we prepared rice that absorbed all the smoky aroma. To make it even more special, we added roasted macadamia nuts to the smoked rice, giving it a warm, earthy crunch. The final combination rice and the tender meat was a true celebration of our culture. It had rained months earlier, and the land had blessed us with abundance. This was our thanksgiving season, a time to appreciate God’s goodness and the strength of our community. We shared several snacks, fresh fruits, and drinks as we relaxed together, laughed, and remembered how far we had come. In our homestead, even our farming practices follow tradition. We preserve seeds by hanging them over the kitchen roof, allowing the smoke from the firewood to dry and protect them naturally. These seeds are kept safely for the next planting season an old method passed down through generations, ensuring that our way of life continues. Please Subscribe, like, comment and share.Thank you
