BON @ The Talbot Burnley The band BON was created to pay homage to the late great Bon Scott, front man to AC/DC in the early years (1974-80) when they became increasingly popular. You've got to have balls to take on the Talbot on your debut gig and tribute this huge guy and band, and you've got to be bloody good to say the least. So no pressure then. The Talbot's full and there's a little tension in the air and lots of fingers crossed (and one or two other things). The band members read like a local hall of fame with loads of experience between them, but has all that rehearsing paid off. Well from the first chord from the first riff from Dave's guitar you just knew this was going to be bloody good, and it was, right to the very end. Check out the video and see how the tension builds, these guys have got that brilliant AC/DC sound nailed. And it's all very tight with Joe holding it together perfectly on drums with a good thumping sound and Iain giving it some on lead guitar, also a great bass sound from Shane and Dave giving it the depth on backing guitar, it's all a good rockin sound. And who better to front this band than that great rock n roll singer himself Mark Wright from Rock Pawn fame, a great voice that the great Bon Scott would be proud of. Yes it's all high voltage rock n roll, and it's a long way to the top but these guys have nailed it on their first outing and are sure to be Talbot regulars from now on.
