Governor JB Pritzker says that Trump is beginning to stage the Texas National Guard to invade Illinois. This is an invasion from another state, Trump can federalize the Illinois guard but by choosing to have another state invade Illinois - he is risking civil war and he very well may get it. Pritzker says he has obtained confidential information from “patriotic sources” within the federal government unveiling Trump’s plan to deploy armed military personnel to occupy the streets of Chicago. Pritzker says that he also has information that says that ICE is planning to disrupt community picnics and parades, in addition to disrupting the city’s Mexican independence day celebration. He says they are going to use unmarked vehicles while wearing masks to raid the city’s communities while lying about targeting criminals. The state and city have issued orders that no law enforcement in the state is to assist the federal government or the state of Texas in their activities, and that includes riot control. This comes as Trump continues to lie about crime in Chicago. Texas and its cities, where these troops are coming from, are more violent than Chicago and Illinois. Houston, Dallas, San Antonio all have homicide rates and violent crime rates that make Chicago look like Tokyo. Where is their military occupation?
