There also has been historical instances of disappearances and murders in the area. In some cases, bodies have been discovered in the remote parts of Mount Coottha, turning it into a crime scene for police investigations. These cases often attract significant media attention due to the location's normally peaceful reputation. Only a day or two before filming this video; there was a 3rd predatorial attack on a woman, in separate incidences beginning in June this year - there has now been a 4th attack on women...as they were walking on one of the around 30 different modern tracks (not including long overgrown historical bush tracks), that collectively cover over 70 kilometers. This video was filmed near the junction of 2 such tracks on which these crimes were committed. At this stage of investigation; police don't tend to think it was the same male perpetrator, and fear 'Copycat' predators to be more likely. Looking backwards at further unsolved crimes on mt coot-tha; in 2017 Bush walkers discovered human Skeletal remains, 300m off a popular walking track. There have been multiple instances of human remains found near Mount Coot-tha...Notable findings include a human skull discovered in the Mount Coot-tha area, which led to extensive investigations. The skull was found in 2016 and linked to a missing person case from 2014.
