UMD held its last Muabet so Meto of the year on December 15, 2022 with Dr. Jovan Laskovski, Orthopedic Surgeon. The topic was: The Role of Our #Macedonian Heritage in Upbringing & Career. #Macedonia Dr. Laskovski is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University. He was chief resident physician of Summa Health and served his fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Laskovski specializes in hip arthroscopy, with a focus on preservation of the native hip joint. He also specializes in sport medicine, with an interest in arthroscopic surgery of the hip and shoulder. Dr. Laskovski is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, where he serves as a Master Instructor of Arthroscopic Surgery. He is also an Ordinary Member of the International Hip #Arthroscopy Society and a member of the Multicenter Arthroscopic Study of the Hip. Dr. Laskovski has earner numerous honors and awards, has conducted research and has been published in a number of areas of orthopedic care. He lectures both nationally and internationally on arthroscopic and endoscopic surgery of the hip and shoulder. He is also involved in teaching multiple surgical courses on arthroscopic surgery throughout the country. Additionally, Dr. Leskovski serves as the head team physician for the University of Akron. Dr. Laskovski has been a physician since 2006. Dr. Laskovski was a recipient of the 2014 UMD Macedonian Diaspora 40 under 40 Award.
