Working out can help you rid THC from your system up to 26% faster than if you do not exercise. For example, this means that if you exercise you can detox in three weeks instead of four. In this video, we will explain why exercise helps you to detox faster. The main reason why exercising helps to detox from THC is that exercise helps burn fat more quickly. THC and its metabolites are fat-soluble. About 70% of THC is absorbed by fat tissues and can be stored there for months. In order to cleanse THC from your system, you need to burn fat cells that contain the THC metabolites. This burning of the fat cells will release the THC for further removal from the body. Another reason exercising helps to detox from THC is that exercise increases blood flow in the body. This blood flow helps to move more blood with THC through the liver and metabolize THC faster. Let's estimate how much THC is released by exercising. In order to do so we need to make some assumptions. Unfortunately, there is no way to precisely determine how much THC is released due to the fact that we do not know exactly how much THC can be stored in 1g of fat. There is also no way to determine how THC will be distributed over the entire body’s fat. Too many unknown variables exist making it impossible to calculate an exact amount of THC that is released through exercise. However, one thing we can claim is that the amount of THC released correlates with the amount of burned fat. We can thus track how exercising changes the amount of burned body fat. This method will allow us to track how exercising changes the amount of THC released. To track the amount of burned body fat, we will use the Body Weight Planner from the national institute of diabetes. As an example, we assume that the calculations are made for the following person: Mark. 35-year-old male Weight is 190 lbs. Mark sits at the computer most of the day, but he is active during his leisure time. He exercises more than once per week. As a guideline, it is safe to lose up to 2lbs per week without harm to your health. Mark plans to lose 10 lbs in 5 weeks (35 days) without changing his physical activity level. According to the Body Weight Planner, he will reach his goal by keeping his usual activity level and eating 2221 calories per day. Initially, Mark’s percentage of fat for his body weight is 22.7%, which means that 43.3lbs of his total body weight is fat. After 35 days of his successful weight loss plan, Mark will have 38.5lbs of fat. Now let's assume that Mark tries to lose weight without doing any exercises. He will lose weight simply by following the same diet plan as before and eating 2221 calories per day. According to the Body Weight Planner, it will take 112 days to reach his goal of 180lbs. Body weight planner(the one we used in the video) from the National Institute of Diabetes: https://www.niddk.nih.gov/bwp On day 35, his weight will be 185.9lbs and he will have 22.1% of body fat, which means 41.1lbs of fat. It means that if Mark exercises while on his weight loss program, he will lose 2.6 lbs more when exercising than if he chooses not to exercise. This method shows that exercising is 26% more effective for weight loss than without exercises. We can assume that a similar correlation will be effective in terms of ridding the body of the THC stored in that body fat. Obviously, there are a lot of assumptions and limitations, and the numbers are approximate. However, we can see from these calculations, that the effect of exercise on THC detox is significant. Therefore, add cardio or weight training exercise to your routine if you wish to detox from THC more quickly.
