We'd like to thank everyone that has been with us for these last 3 years. It has been a struggle to get this video recorded due to budget and vision issues with the band over the years. But you guys have been asking for this video for quite sometime, so we did this not only for ourselves; But for the those who told us to keep on going. As fellow New Yorkers, we know how it is to struggle day in and day out to make ends meet. The struggle of being a student and working and providing a roof over your head in you 20's is something every one in this band has had to deal with. We are not famous rockstars, we do not survive off of our gigs, we work regular 9-5 jobs to support ourselves and invest every last penny and extra time we have into our band. I know the way it usually works is "you fake it until you make it" but we didn't want to lie to our fans. We wanted to make a video about everyday life as a New Yorker and how much we give away our time and energy to making money. Crystalla and I saw Jimmy McMillan's Speech at the 2010 New York Gubernatorial Race 4 years ago. Though we found his humor quite charming, what he was saying was not funny. It is way too expensive to live in this city, everyday we see small businesses and apartment buildings along with landmarks knocked down for frozen yogurt shops and condos. That is not the New York we grew up with or want to live in. This song is about bringing that old New York back. Special Thanks to Jimmy for Participating in the video! Mad Love! Enjoy : ) LTrain
