Engine Failure at Cape Flattery, Entering Neah Bay

After 3 days of smooth sailing along the coast of Oregon, then Washington it was time to turn back to shore; however, while preparing to enter Neah Bay my engine stopped running, causing me to turn back offshore to make repairs. As a precaution, I contacted the coast guard's non-emergency line before going back into a cramped engine room. i was able to make the repairs to my engine, but during my time down below in the engine room, I missed some calls from the Coast Guard and a boat was sent out. in the end, we made it back to the bay safe and sound, just with a bruised ego.
