There's a lot of misinformation out there about the history of APBA baseball. Here I explain the true history behind J. Richard Seitz' game, including its relationship to the old and obscure National Pastime game created by Clifford van Beek. You can find the original National Pastime patent application here: https://patents.google.com/patent/US1... If you want to see the original National Pastime boards, you can find scans here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2... This is indisputable proof that Clifford van Beek was the original creator of the boards, not J. Richard Seitz. Let's Replay videos differ from traditional Let's Play videos in that they focus on organized sports replays. Using games such as APBA, Strat-O-Matic, OOTP, Action PC Baseball, Replay, Diamond Mind Baseball, NPIII, and so on, we replayers play through old baseball seasons one game at a time, reliving the old storylines, learning about the old players, and engaging with counterfactual history in a very unique manner. For more information about this project and about replays in general, please see my blog at https://baseballreplayjournal.substac...
