In this one, we go to one of my favorite places on the planet: The Rock Shed in Keystone, South Dakota! I stumbled upon this amazing shop almost a decade ago, and since then it has maintained its spot as my number one Favorite rock shop! Ran by fantastic people who are always so kind, prices that are so much more than just fair, and quality that is nearly unmatched, the Rock Shed is truly one of a kind! We may have gone rockhounding on our trip through the Black Hills, but making a stop to THIS place was the Primary purpose for driving 6 hours to South Dakota. I am always blown away by the jewelry quality of all of their stones, but their labradorite in particular is on another level. Yes there are the normal blues, oranges, and gold tones, but also greens, teals, lavenders, reds, pinks, and by far my favorite and the least common of all labradorite colors, Royal Purple!!!!! After our shopping spree we head back to the shop and cut a bunch of our rocks, revealing some outstanding colors hiding in our labradorite!
