this tiara originally belonged to Margaret of Connaught, the first wife of King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden and a grand daughter of queen Victoria. Princess Margareta passed away 30 years before her husbands assend to the throne ,while beign eight months pregnant with her sixth child. Her jewellery were divided equally between her children, and the aquamarine kokoshnik tiara was passed down to her eldest son,Prince Gustaf Adolf, who died tragically in a airplane accident. The tiara was worn by his wife, Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Following Sybilla's dea th,the tiara was passed down to her eldest child,Princess Margaretha, who married British businessman John Ambler, and moved to the United Kingdom. Her daughter, Baroness Sybilla von Dincklage wore the tiara onher wedding day, when she married Henning Baron von Dincklage in 1998. Since then the aquamarine tiara was not seen in public, until 2010,when Princess Margaretha wore it for the wedding of crown princess Victoria. It is beleived that the tiara has been returned back to Sweden, and is kept with the other royal jewellery of the bernadotte collection, allowing other royal ladies to wear it when needed. In 2014, Margaretha's sister, Princess Christina, wore the tiara at a royal dinner in Stockholm. The tiara was brought back under the spotlight, when Princess Madeleine, wore it in 2015 at a Nobel piece prize ceremony. Princess Margaretha wore the tiara to the wedding of her nephew prince Carl Phillips in 2015. The tiara made its next nobel ceremony appearance, when it was worn by crown princess Victoria in 2017. During the past years, the tira seems to have become one of the favourites of Princess Madeleine, and she wore it on many public events and portraits. The princess made a fairytale appearance, when she wore the tiara to a tea party held for sick children. The tiara is still owned by Princess Margaretha, and is kept safe with the other Bernadotte jewellery in Sweden.
