MicronNav 200 USBL Tracking System Lake Windermere Testing

In the lead up to the launch of the MicronNav 200 USBL Tracking System from Tritech, the team headed out to Lake Windermere to conduct open water testing of the new system. The testing was specifically looking at the range of the USBL system with distances of up to 1000m being tested at varying shallow depths. Three Micron Battery Modems were tied to buoys and distributed in the water 10m apart. The old and new dunking transducer heads were attached to the front of the boat to offer a comparison and and allow the engineers to see the improvement in the new system. The boat was then tracked from 1000m away and displayed on integrated Google maps through Tritech's Genesis software. The boat and the cluster of Micron Battery Modems can be seen on the display.
