We Found Incredible Old Treasures, Until a Blizzard Rolled In…

Winter was closing in fast and the ground was about to freeze solid. But before an unprecedented blizzard rolled in, we managed to squeeze in a few metal detecting hunts at a couple of incredible locations. When you know the ground can be locked up tight the next day, every swing matters. But that pressure often leads to some of the most exciting treasure hunting moments, and this one was no exception. The first location was an old colonial field, directly across the street from a 1750s homestead. The fields were large and open, but the frigid winds were slowly locking up both the ground, and us, with each passing hour. We hung in as long as we could before Mother Nature managed to run us off, but not before we saved some amazing old treasures! Then we switched to another field, a field that not only had tree cover to block the winds, but soft sandy ground as well… our Field of 1,000 Holes. This location isn’t quite as historic as the first, but the digging is easier and the finds never seem to end here. Together both fields put together gave up a fantastic hunt, with everyone on the team able to score something amazing. And now we brace for the storm...
