Principles of Community Development (Webinar)
This introductory webinar introduces EWB-USA members to our general approach to community development. EWB-USA projects are as much community development projects as they are engineering projects. While the engineering solutions to lack of clean water or lack of electricity for example are important, the more significant result of EWB-USA’s effort is a community that can sustainably meet its own needs, including sustaining the solution to their infrastructure needs. This webinar provides examples of how our project process exemplifies the principles our organization holds paramount in implementing our community programs. Subsequent webinars delve into greater detail into the community development process. Intended Audience: Chapter members, appropriate for showing at chapter meetings.
