Carrying on at the back end, this episode's all about cleaning up, restoring and installing the back axle on the TR7. The axle I have is a 5 speed axle; this is an upgrade to the earlier 4 speed axle the car used to have. As I'm swapping the box to a 5 speed gearbox, I needed a new axle as well. I got this one used a few years ago. The axle casing got cleaned up and painted, while the shafts got new bearings and seals fitted. I repaired the rusty diff cover as it had rusted through in the past, and redid an earlier attempt I made at fixing it.
