Julia Ducournau talks to film programmer and writer Anna Bogutskaya about her bold, Palme d’or-winning avant-garde body-horror Titane. In Titane, Agathe Rousselle (in an incredible feature debut) stars as Alexia, a woman who has a titanium plate fitted into her head after a car accident as a child, and consequently develops an unusual connection to motor vehicles. As an adult she makes her living dancing at car shows until a violent altercation with a fan sends her on a bizarre, unpredictable journey.
