I really gave these little batteries a workout, and they do indeed have more power, and they deliver that power full-strength until the battery is discharged. No more gradual power loss right from the get-go until you finally notice it is taking a very long time to drive a screw, or that your hand-held vac is not picking things up very well! Even more important may be the smaller size and lighter weight. As I state in the video, when adjusting hardware on a full set of cabinets, I may have a driver in my hand all day, and a smaller tool with a compact battery is a godsend for those times, but why carry around a brick in the first place? Lastly, DeWalt claims the battery will last twice as long. I still have batteries from 20-years ago, so if that's true, these batteries will last the rest of my life and more. I tend to believe the claim as the batteries are same lithium pouch batteries that are used in phones and laptops, which are far more advanced than the old cell-type batteries that are in conventional packs!
