The Dempster Highway is a 457 mile gravel road that connects Dawson City (Yukon) to Inuvit (Northwest Territory) in Canada. Add another stint between Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk (completed in 2017 at a cost of $200 million C$) and you have the only way to drive to the Arctic Ocean in North America.
