Crews are working to contain the TCU September Lightning Complex, which has burned nearly 14,000 acres across the Sierra Foothills and is 15% contained. The largest blaze, the 6-5 Fire in Tuolumne County, has scorched more than 6,900 acres and forced evacuations around Chinese Camp, where historic homes have been destroyed. A bulldozer accident in Calaveras County sent an operator to the hospital, but no other injuries were reported.
