From start to finish, how I taught myself Japanese. Ok, everyone learns differently, but this is what worked for me. Some of this is may be a little bit different than what you have heard others do. Some of it may be common sense. But, my hope is that some of you can glean from this and employ what will work for you. Editors note - Romaji - Roman characters, basically, the English alphabet It's recommended to listen to your listening material everyday. Another thing I would add is just, your studies should have progressions. It's okay to use simple material. Challenges are good but don't work too high above your actual level. If you do, you will spend more time in a dictionary than actually using what you already know.
