They also previously had an intimate relationship. Howard had been feuding with Bon Jovi, and Sam, a close friend of the band, promised to bring them in to perform on the show. Howard promoted Bon Jovi's upcoming appearance but on the day they were supposed to come in neither Bon Jovi nor Sam showed up. Sam later told Howard it was just a joke and he never intended to bring Bon Jovi in. Howard went ballistic on Sam and banned him from the show. He had Jessica Hahn on and she revealed some embarrassing personal details about Sam from when they were together. The 'Mr. Ed' routine Sam referenced was a bit Jessica did on the show in which she was having sex with Mr. Ed (the talking horse) while continually asking him to put "another hoof" in. When Mr. Ed got all four hooves in and told her he didn't have any more, Jessica told him "then gallup!" Pretty raunchy for terrestrial radio and forJessica Hahn--who had been known as the innocent church secretary (allegedly) drugged and raped by televangelist Jim Bakker of the PTL Club TV ministry, leading to Bakker's downfall.
