Welcome to some wildlife encounters I have captured with my camera, in and around Victoria, BC. -The Barred Owls were filmed in Beacon Hill Park and at Playfair Park. -The deer and their fawns can be found almost anywhere in Victoria.The deer in this video were filmed on Fairfield Rd, The Legislature Assembly grounds in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC and at Ross Bay Cemetery. -Chickens are running freely in their front yard in the city area known as Quadra Village. -Grey Squirrels can be found almost anywhere in Victoria. Beacon Hill Park is where the squirrel in this video was filmed. The chatter of the squirrel is exactly how it spoke to me and said thanks. --The Peacock male is performing in front of the Children's Farm at Beacon Hill Park. -3 horse drawn carriage tours are filmed as they gently clip clop through Beacon Hill Park. -Turtles on the log are a daily sight in Beacon Hill Park on a warm sunny day. -The Great Blue heron can be found in many areas around Victoria, and surrounding areas. They are often spotted in tall trees or close to a shoreline. The Great Blue Herons were filmed on Dallas Rd, near Clover Point and along the shoreline of the Gorge Waterway. -Crows and Seagulls are found all over Victoria and surrounding areas. The Crows and Seagulls in this video were filmed on Dallas Rd., near Clover Point. -The Mallard Ducks and their ducklings were filed at Beacon Hill Park and at a local hotel that has a water feature on the side of the hotel. -Canada Geese and their Goslings can be found in many areas in and around Victoria. The Canada Geese in this video were filmed at Beacon Hill Park. -The Yellow Bellied Marmot named Roger, lives on the property of the world famous Empress Hotel. Roger was named after a well liked general manager that worked at the hotel some years ago. The Empress Hotel Centennial Garden that Roger lives in, is also home to a few thousand honey bees that provide the Empress hotel with a good supply of honey. -Racoons can be spotted in and around Victoria and surrounding areas.The Racoons captured in this footage was shot on the Johnson St. bridge late at night. -The River Otter seen in this video was filmed on Dallas Rd, near Clover Point. -The musically gifted, signing sidecar dog, was filmed with the harmonica playing in the background at the Inner Harbour in Downtown Victoria.
