Anthony Burrow on how Purpose shapes our experiences

Anthony Burrow is an Assistant Professor of Human Development, at Cornell University. Dr. Burrow conducts research on youth purpose, identity processes, and race-related experiences encountered by ethnic minority adolescents and young adults. Specifically his work questions how a sense of purpose shapes the ways individuals react to challenging experiences and contexts and how racial identity influences individuals’ perceptions of everyday interactions with others. He is the co-director of the Program for Research on Youth Development and Engagement (PRYDE), which aims to promote positive youth development through innovative research and evidence-based approaches. He was recorded at the PRYDE "Purpose and Health across the Life Span" conference in October 2016.
