i cant believe its over! ive been wanting to do this since forever man like before i got sj int hundo i was already doing low deaths of this lobby. since then i have been chipping away at it while i got better and its finally over! and i fluked the heartside wtffffff 0:06 Prologue 1:02 Dusk City 3:56 Starry Ruins 5:22 Tower (XVI) 9:08 Bee Berserk 14:09 Toggle Theory 16:10 Belated Valentine's Day 18:31 Attack of the Clone 21:15 Synapse 25:32 Superstructure 28:46 Starlight Station 32:41 Jellyfish Sanctum 34:23 Rigthside-Down Cavern 36:58 Lethal Laser Laboratory 38:18 Slime Time! 41:05 Thinking with Portals 43:27 Tectonic Trenches 45:22 Undergrowth 49:15 Forest Rush 51:33 Call of the Void 55:11 Raindrops on Roses 1:01:43 The Lab 1:05:28 Java's Crypt 1:08:28 Golden Dawn 1:10:58 Sands of Time 1:13:41 Lost Woods 1:17:47 Mango Mesa some notes about the order: -i divided mentally the parts of this run into three thirds: the hard ones (start-synapse) the medium ones (superstructure-forest rush) and the easy ones (cotv-end). getting out of the first third consistently is a huge part of the difficulty of this run -the order in which i do the first few maps of the run was something that changed all the time. dusk city as map 1 was a very uncommon placement but i was having trouble with the map recently so i put it as one of the firsts. in my "normal" order, it used to be map 8 right at the start of second third. same with bee berserk, the "normal" placement of that one was map 5 after bvd. the order for the first third that i think worked the best for me was Tower XVI Starry Ruins Toggle Theory BVD Bee Berserk AOTC Synapse -superstructure as map 8 was also a pretty recent change after i died to it once as map 15 and then again as map 10 in the span of 2 weeks or smth. it used to be before forest rush. same with starlight station, that one used to be after forest rush right at the end of second third -cotv used to be map 24 until very recently idk why lol its pretty scary some other notes about the grind: -this is the first time i complete a fgr where i dont die to the heartside. in every other lobby i died to the heartside at least once (sj beg, sj int, sc beg) 42:28 this is so embarrasing i dont know why it took me so long to get the demo. i forgot if this setup is actually dieable or not (pretty sure it isnt) but just to not risk it i do it very safely and it takes so many attempts like omgg what am i doing -total time for this grind is uhhh well i have 113 hours on the practice file and i probably have around 150 hours doing attempts so 263? its just a guess but its probably around that area -this was my original grind for labor of love! i stopped playing it cause doing attempts from start was very unfun. i guess i can talk about the enjoyability of this challenge, its very fun except for the part where you actually have to start doing runs. the first few maps are a giant jail cell and it got so annoying to die to the last map of the first third over and over no matter what order i tried, so yeah thats not the best but doing runs is fun! i really like this lobby -i didnt start every run from a new save file for all the grind, i normally started my first run from a new save file and then used clrsav to restart but these last few sessions i used a new save file for all runs cause i felt like i was close to getting it (at least getting to hs). i honestly think it did help me to stay out of first third jail but only once i was consistent at everything -heartside fluke is crazy but i knew it could happen, im just surprised i managed my nerves so well. the worst parts in the heartside are the f23 wallbounce, all of f19, f6 final bhop, the second part of f5 and all of f1, everything else gets consistent. f23 wallbounce is the worst input of the whole run and i could have easily died there at least once -the spinners in LLL look weird because of a helper issue i think? you cant see some of them but the death hitbox is still there. im curious why it only happens in that map these are all the late deaths i tracked: (every death past map 10) dusk city (map 11), slime time (map 12), jellyfish sanctum (map 14), superstructure (map 15) x2, jellyfish sanctum (map 16), superstructure (map 17), undergrowth (map 22), raindrops on roses (map 23) there were probably more in the 11-15 range i didnt track or forgot about shoutouts to ghost who is currently grinding hundo and shoutouts to pisgood who was grinding any% and im not sure if theyre still going. both of their streams are really fun expert lobby awaits... ?
