The Best of Bobby Darin (Capitol LP, mono, side 2)

This is the second side of the 1966 Capitol LP compilation "The Best of Bobby Darin." It seems strange seeing a "best of" Darin album without songs such as Mack the Knife or Splish Splash, but those hits were recorded for ATCO, not Capitol. That said, Capitol did have live recordings of Mack that could have been used, as well as live hits medley, which would have fitted well on a best of album. Neither would surface for another three decades. But the Best of Bobby Darin album we have here is in its mono incarnation, allowing us to hear the rare mono mixes of several hit singles, including 18 Yellow Roses and You're the Reason I'm Living - with the latter sounding much better (to my ears) than in its usually-heard stereo version. The songs in this video are: 18 Yellow Roses - Fly Me to the Moon - Venice Blue - You're the Reason I'm Living - Goodbye Charlie.
