The purpose of the Society of American Archivists – Archivists of Religious Collections Section, Models and Resources Committee (MRC) is to provide information to section members on all aspects of archival work relating to the administration of religious collections. Join the Society of American Archivists, Archivists of Religious Collections Section, for a Lunch and Learn: Introduction to ArchivesSpace with Meaghan O'Riordan, Moravian Archives. Meaghan O’Riordan has been the Director of the Archives for the Moravian Church in America, Southern Province, since August 2022. Previously she was the Accessioning Archivist for the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library at Emory University. She holds a master’s in library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. O’Riordan also holds two bachelor’s degrees in English and Religious Studies from North Carolina State University and a master’s in theological studies from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is the founder and chair of the Airtable for Archives Community of Practice. From 2020-2024, O’Riordan was the co-chair of the IMLS-funded National Best Practices for Archival Accessioning Working Group, which produced the SAA Council and Standards Committee approved Archival Accessioning Best Practices.
