Nerf bolt action proof of concept (Winter Meadow)
Proof of concept test of a bolt action mechanism using pulleys and paracord connecting the bolt to the plunger rod. There’s a lot of bending and friction because the slab wasn’t design for the forces along these axes and the threaded rod is rubbing a lot. In a dedicated blaster the threads wouldn’t be rubbing on plastic and there would be more supporting the rod along many other improvements. Considering how janky this iteration is, I’m happy with how it turned out. With a body designed for this mechanism it should work a lot more smoothly.
