"If you are of a certain age, you remember television networks breaking in on your favorite cartoon or primetime sitcom to update the nation on important news happenings. Before the smartphone and the internet, TV Broadcasts were the best way to reach the largest number of people with important information. However, the moment when the programming was interrupted was often jarring and unexpected even though it was helpful and important. When we examine the life and ministry of Jesus, we find several examples of interruptions which, rather than throwing off the mission, he used in order to continue bringing the gospel to people and working toward the salvation that he would ultimately bring. In this series we will examine a few of these interruptions and learn how to respond to uncertainty and unpredictability of life while keeping our eye on the work he has called us to as his church."
