Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 rear helper springs on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Now this is what your airbags are gonna look like when they're installed on your Tacoma. And before, there's a very small jounce bumper that sits pretty low, and really for this to bottom out, it's gonna take a lot of squishing to do that, and that's what the bump stops or jounce bumpers are there for, so it doesn't bottom out the suspension. But the problem is leading up to that means that the shocks are gonna really compress. And a lot of times if you're either towing a trailer or have a heavy load in the back of the truck, that means the suspension's gonna be squatted, and that transmits quite a bit of issues, not only on the suspension being overloaded and not having that full stroke, but also it is gonna mess with the front of the vehicle too. So that's gonna come down to steering feel. A lot of times when that truck is squatted down, it doesn't have that front grip that it needs to make those turns, so it gets a little bit squirrely. Also, your headlights will shine up. It's also gonna cause wear on your tires, and it can also cause bad braking. So anytime you've towed a trailer, if it starts to feel squirrely, if you're not comfortable with the way that the truck is handling that weight, it feels like it's just really tugging it, this is where you can really gain all that back and prevent your suspension from really becoming prematurely damaged, because as that shock is compressed, it really doesn't have that stroke to move. It's gonna work that out pretty hard. And that's where these bags come into play. They're gonna supplement that factory suspension to really raise that up and give it some cushion to put the suspension back at a normal height, and your truck will level out in the process. Now normally, driving the truck, if you don't have anything in it or you're not towing, if you keep these at a minimum five PSI, it's gonna act just like a normal jounce bumper. So the ride quality should stay exactly the same. Now when you do load up the truck, you're gonna inflate these accordingly. You have up to 100 PSI to account for that weight depending on the load, but you can really fine tune it to where it feels nice and comfortable, and it's gonna feel nice and sturdy going down the road. Now the interesting part with this one is it's a dual path setup, meaning you have individual control of each bag because you have two Schrader valves. So that means if you have a load that's maybe in the back of your bed off to one side, and it's weighing it down, you can account for that and even it back up. And that's really nice, especially for an application like this. They're not really gonna be towing trailers a bunch, but they're gonna be loading it up, and it's gonna be an overland-style truck. And a lot of the overland-style trucks, if you see them, there's a lot of weight in the back, and they are squatted down. So many overland vehicles are overloaded, and that's what we're trying to fix and prevent long term. Now as far as an off-road capabilities, this will probably take away from some of that articulation. So if you're doing some crazy crawling out there in the overland world, this might not be the best option. But if you're just doing minor off-road trails, you're not getting too crazy, you're just trying to get to your campsite, these are gonna be an awesome option. And not only are they gonna help bring that back up and make it nice and level, but also when you're towing a trailer, it'll make a huge difference. Now these are pretty heavy duty for this truck. These are rated at 5,000 pound capacity, so you're not necessarily gaining 5,000 pounds. 5,000 pounds is what it can handle, but on a Tacoma like this, I think this is gonna be more than enough. Another great thing about this, if you want to add it on later on a compressor system to where you have onboard air, you can manually or fill these at the push of a button, whether it be from an app or a controller. This can be tied in, so it doesn't matter which brand compressor you get, this will work well with it. Now when it comes to the installation of these, these are all bolt-on, so there's no drilling req
