EP 09 – Exploring Bear Territory & Lake Van near the Iran Border This week, we reach the easternmost part of Türkiye, close to the Iran border, and adventure inside the Nemrut Crater—home to wild bears—and explore Lake Van, the largest lake in Türkiye. Glad to be back in nature, we spend several nights on the shores of this stunning lake, share unforgettable encounters with incredibly friendly locals, and soak in the raw beauty of the region. From there, we begin heading back west, to finally reach the legendary Old Tahir Pass. An incredible dirt road that once connected Türkiye to Iran and was used by heavy trucks even in extreme conditions. Another exciting and unforgettable week as we continue to be amazed by the landscapes of Türkiye and the warmth of its people.
