On the morning of September 11th 2001 at 0746 hours an American Airlines Boeing 767 known as Flight 11 was bound for Los Angeles California with more than 100 passengers on board, at around 0800 hours the final passenger to come on board the aircraft was the lead hijacker Muhammad Atta, several minutes after takeoff the 5 hijackers stormed the aircraft galley, cabin, and even the cockpit this happened on the other 3 flights bound for California, at 0825 hours Muhammad Atta makes a haunting transmission to the ground which was supposed to be for the passengers and this was the tape: Is that American 11 trying to call? We have some planes, just stay quiet and we’ll be ok, we’re returning to the airport. And uh who’s trying to call me here? American 11 are you trying to call? Nobody move, everything will be ok, if you try to make any moves, you’ll endanger yourself and the airplane, just stay quiet. After he made the wrong transmission supposed to be for the passengers but to the ground instead, they believe that American 11 was hijacked in mid flight. At 0846 hours American 11 flew over Manhattan to target the World Trade Center, then 40 seconds after the time read 8:46 the aircraft slammed into the north tower with speeds of more than 700 miles per hour with a full tank of gas, this rocked the twin towers and the city itself with an explosion in a matter of seconds. The FDNY, NYPD, JCPD, JCFD, LPD, LFD, AVFDNY, NYNJPAPD, and many other first responders responded to the twin towers, then at 0903 hours when United 175 which was also supposed to be bound for Los Angeles slammed into the south tower, at 0937 hours American 77 bound from Dulles International Airport in Washington DC Virginia, it only took 37 minutes for them to reach the pentagon and slam the aircraft into it, then at 0959 hours the south tower collapses to the ground, people ran from the scene to get out of the way of the collapsing tower, then at 1003 hours United 93 bound for San Francisco California from Newark International Airport in Newark New Jersey slams into a field in Shanksville Pennsylvania more than 100 miles south of Pittsburgh, finally at 1028 hours the north tower goes down as well and people again ran from the scene to get back out of the way of the next collapsing tower. It’s been 21 years since the 9/11 attacks, 29 years since the February 26th 1993 attack, 34 years since the official first US attack that happened in Indiana, and 5 years since the 3rd New York City terrorist attack that happened near the World Trade Center on West Street at Chambers Street all the way to Houston Street, this time with handguns and a Home Depot truck and that happened on October 31st 2017. Never forget those days that brought us to a tragic nightmare.
