A creative culmination where unique and custom created works of art visually accompany live performances. When it comes to the German post-punk band Die Nerven, bitter post-punk pessimism melds with heated hardcore anthems, an alternative rock sound unfolds, and the lyrics both foreshadow the future and ward it off in equal measure. For COLLIDE, Die Nerven solemnly burn down the stage with their unmistakable sound and the songs “Frei” and “DER ERDE GLEICH”. Accompanied by dark visuals by Casper Westhausen together with Elastique., the visual art provides a fresh perspective on the group’s brutal sound. Die Nerven perform a nearly eight-minute-long live version of “DER ERDE GLEICH”. Things also get intense with a cover of “Ace of Spades” by Motörhead, which the band already performs as a permanent part of their live set on tour. Thanks to flaming 80s metal images combined with monster trucks and desert aesthetics, Casper Westhausen’s visuals fuel a performance that transforms the music into a completely new audiovisual experience.
