Part of the Mirabello bay, in Agios Nicolaos Crete, this beach has both pebbles and sand and is 600 meters long. With beautiful turquoise waters, the beach is not exclusive to hotel guests and perfect for a refreshing swim under the warm summer sun. Umbrellas, sunbeds and towels are free of charge. On the beach you’ll find the upbeat “Kohili” beach bar as well as the restau-bar “Votsala” where you can sit back and take in perfect summer moments. For those travelling with children, there is a play area right next to the beach and for the more adventurous guest, a range of water sports on offer. The Greek summer is famous worldwide. Here, at Istron Bay it becomes truly amazing! 1km east of settlement Istron we meet a well hidden beach in a steep bay. The beach is called Pilos, but is widely known as Istron Bay, after the homonym hotel that is built on the steep slopes of the bay. While it seems as private, there is a path leading to the beach starting from the west of the hotel; there are no private beaches in Greece. The beach is sandy and has calm blue water. It is well organized with umbrellas and canteen (from the hotel) and there is a small pier for boats. East of Istron bay there is a very small cove with three remote beaches, accessed on foot via a short path. The beaches are named Vryonisi (or Prasonisi), after the small Vryonisi (or Prasonisi) islet that is formed just opposite the small bay.
