Under normal driving conditions, All-Wheel Drive automatically distributes power to each wheel as needed. The DRIVE MODE button allows you to select one of three modes, ECO, NORMAL or SPORT. When the DRIVE MODE is selected, the instrument cluster will display the mode selected, except when in Normal Mode. If equipped, this display will also show how power is being distributed to the four wheels. When you press the TERRAIN MODE button on the steering wheel, you can select: SNOW – which prevents wheel slippage when driving on snowy or slippery surfaces. MUD – which prevents wheel slippage when driving on muddy, unpaved, or rough roads. SAND – which prevents wheel slippage when driving on sandy, gravel, or unpaved off-road surfaces. When driving under normal conditions in TERRAIN MODE, you may hear or feel a minor mechanical vibration or noise when cornering. This is normal. In addition, when TERRAIN MODE is deactivated, a vibration may be felt as the traction forces on the front and rear wheels of the vehicle are released – this vibration is normal, and it is not a mechanical issue. Thanks for watching.
