🙏 Poovarasankuppam Lakshmi Narasimha Temple Vlog | Swathi Nakshatram Special | Then Ahobilam Journey 🛕 Hey everyone! Subash Kavee here from Go Temple, and I’m beyond thrilled to bring you my spiritual journey to the powerful Lakshmi Narasimha Perumal Temple in Poovarasankuppam, Tamil Nadu — famously known as Then Ahobilam. This visit happened on a very auspicious day – Swathi Nakshatram, the star associated with Lord Narasimha, and a Saturday too! It doesn't get more divine than this! This temple, often revered as "Then Ahobilam," holds such profound significance. It's believed that Lord Narasimha manifested in eight places in Tamil Nadu after vanquishing Hiranyakashipu, and Poovarasankuppam is considered the central point among these Ashta Narasimha Kshetrams. In fact, it's considered incredibly auspicious to visit three specific Narasimha temples – Singiri Koil, Poovarasankuppam, and Parikkal – all on the same day! During my visit, I had the privilege of speaking with Sarathy Battar, the main priest here, who shared so many insightful details. He explained that our deity here is uniquely Lakshmi Narasimha, with Goddess Lakshmi beautifully seated on his lap in a wedding posture. He emphasized that Lord Narasimha is known for immediate solutions to problems – truly, as the saying goes, "Naalai enbadhe Narasimharukku illai" (There is no tomorrow for Narasimha)! He likened Lord Narasimha's protection to a father rushing to save his child, even before being called. Sarathy Battar also shed light on the temple's rich history, including its reconstruction in the 7th century after a sage named Poovarasar had a divine vision. He shared the fascinating story of Pulipani Siddhar, who performed penance for 48 days at the temple's pond, now known as Puliyan Kulam, after which Lord Narasimha appeared to him. Many devotees believe that worshipping here can even cure chronic diseases and alleviate mental distress – truly a powerful place! 🛕 What to Expect in This Vlog: 🎥 Real moments. Real devotees.
