Loganberries are easily one of my favorite fruits to grow on the farm. Because they are caneberries, they have a spreading growth habit, sending roots from any canes that come into contact with the soil. I didn't plant these in an appropriate location when I installed them years ago before I knew better. Now I maintain them by pruning annually. I also take dead growth and weave them into a braid, wrapping the plait around my standing obelisk trellis. I use old canes to create additional support for this year's growth.
