Yoshi has NO super armor while throwing out a move. You should wait till he throws out a move first and then hit him. Since he has no super armor while throwing a move out, this is your time to go for trades that will actually work. I like to F-smash/Upsmash whenever they are at kill percent and I see them approaching with a move. It’s Key though to let them swing first. The easiest move to bait and stuff out is his neutral air. At lower percents you can even CC tank the air and rest it. 2. Condition him to go for an offstage bair and then pound him. Whenever you’re cornered he’ll go for the bair and it sucks, just pound it and you will switch sides with him and very likely get a bair after as a followup. 3. Pound below his shield drops! You can also grab his shield on platforms 4. YOSHI DOES NOT HAVE SHINE. Grab him. Upsmash oos him. SOMETHING. Also you should only be shielding as like an offensive tool, I talk about this more in the video. You had a great game with shielding on yoshis at apex 2022. 5. You can CC Air till 48, and CC late hit till 87. Grab him, smash him something. He spams nair so much fucking kill him for it 6. DRILL F-SMASH WORKS AT LIKE 110??? USE THIS INSTEAD OF DRILL UPSMASH 7. Stage positioning in this MU doesn’t matter. There is no real reason to cross up Yoshi for stage advantage. Learn to be comfy in the corner. He can’t attack you safely at all anyway. Especially if he’s at death percent you can get really good trades. 8. Don’t cross up Yoshi. There’s no reason for that shit. Only do it if he already threw out an attack and you can hit him for it. Otherwise youre gonna die trying to cross him up. 9. When you come back from angel platform just grab the ledge, maybe tournament Winner backwards after? But grabbing the ledge from Yoshi sometimes results in an easy kill/gimp. Also if you’re predicting that he’ll jump from ledge attack him at the apex of the jump ie.
