Let’s make them feel at home.” 🟡 The rollercoaster of searching for a house—endless rejections, offers turned down, and nights wondering if we’d ever find a home. 🟡 That one moment that changed everything—a reply from an agent in Barendrecht, and the house that felt like it was waiting for us. 🟡 Opening our first bank account, learning patience the Dutch way… and finally finding our rhythm. 🟡 Furnishing our home through second-hand treasures from Marktplaats—and discovering the kindness of strangers. It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t perfect. But it was real. And it was ours. Barendrecht became our first real home. A quiet town that gave us peace, stability, and a moment to breathe. It was the beginning of our new life—and we will never forget it.
