Wangala Festival 2023 You have to accept, respect every culture and their tradition. Wangala!...One of the famous festival of Garo hills, Meghalaya. You can see in the thumbnail that one beautiful lady is offering rice beer at Sadolpara village, Dadengre area, under the district of West Garo Hills. Many of the garo community follow now Christianity ,but some rural pockets practising still the old traditional animest religion known as Songsarek. The word Songsarek came from the Sanskrit words, believe by the mandi people(Songsarek) who follows the tribal animest religion. The Songsarek culture is closely associated with Garo people, an indigenous community primarily found in the North eastern regions of India, Bangladesh and parts of the Myanmar. Garo tradition encompasses a rich cultural heritage that includes their unique songs, dances ,rituals and social practices. The Garo culture is known for its vibrant oral traditions and folklore, which play a significant role in passing down their history and values generation after generation. Look at those people ,they're so welcoming and openness. I take my time to thank them about their hospitality towards us is incredible. They makes us feel valued and accepted. This is the one kinds of respect that everybody wants directly or indirectly from people in their life.
