About 3 a.m. at Maardu, Estonia, patrolling officers gave a stop signal to an Audi. The driver did not stop, trying to escape instead. A high-speed chase at the center of Maardu began where the Audi drove over a traffic sign, over a fence, rammed a house and a car. The Audi ended up with a broken oil sump, and the chase continued with a line of oil behind the chasee. Police Officer 1: "084MBT." Police Officer 2: "Yes, he's directly in front of us, he's got broken tyres. We're directly behind him." PO1: "Flashing lights everywhere." PO2: "Still driving." PO1: "Still driving, yes, he's an idiot." The officers decided to shoot the still intact tyres. PO: "Got the tyres!" The dialogue between the police and the suspect (in Russian). PO: "Where did you try to go?" Suspect: "I tried to get away." PO: "Why? What did you do?" Suspect: "I didn't want to get caught driving drunk." PO: "But now it's worse." Suspect: "Yes, it's worse." The driver was 25-year-old Pjotr who was drunk - almost 9 times over the legal limit. It also turned out that he didn't have a driving license and the car he drove was stolen. Dialogue when the suspect is pushed against the car. PO: "Where are the documents?" Suspect: "I told you I don't have any documents. I stole this car." PO: "Ok, you stole it." The car was towed to a repair shop by its owner but it's pretty clear that driving without oil has destroyed the engine.
