Ran Yakumo turned out to be almost nothing when compared to the overall power of her master, Yukari Yakumo. The only Phantasm boss in the entire series is just that powerful, I almost gave up on her as I lost all of my calm against her, the day before this run was conceived. Who knew a boss battle that is literally a harder, spicy version of the boss battle before her would have such a significant effect on me? It is thanks to this battle that I can't look at Yukari without thinking of her extreme power, or even that you will be denied a battle with her if you have less than 60 spellcards captured. I can't help but admire and fear her, all at the same time. If she can manipulate the boundary of life and death, it'd be idiocy if I didn't fear her, and it'd also be idiocy if I didn't admire her for this power and how she doesn't use it recklessly. She could erase Gensokyo in the snap of a finger, but she doesn't do it. Nobody loves Gensokyo more than her. The only Phantasm Boss in the series, defeated October 29th, 2016, on the 12th attempt. If counted as an Extra, then she is the third to be defeated on my hands.
