In this video, we build an ENTIRE board! This build has been years in the making, a gradual accumulation of parts, that culminate in a sleek & lightweight 12s4p build, using Lishen cells, an Eovan deck, small motors, MakerX VESC and a smart bms! Follow along as we complete an entire build in one video! This build is my friend's build that all started when he won this Eovan GTS Super carbon fiber deck from an SDEsk8 event. If you're a DIY guy/gal, you know that the only excuse you need to start another project is having one part. Well, that was sort of the case here. Starting with the deck, we thought about what should go in it - the battery was an obvious choice, since the deck can only fit 12s4p, or 12s3p, but why would you go smaller? We went with Lishen 2170LA cells because they were super cheap and offered good enough performance (around 10a per cell) for a low-powered build. Powering the small 6355 motors is a MakerX DV4. This esc is on the lower powered side but offers plenty of smooth power for a small build like this one. Paired with that is a Flipsky VX4, which is a great remote to pair with a board that doesn't have a battery indicator since you are able to see a large amount of data from VESC on the VX4 screen. Fortunately we have not had any issues with signal interference in this deck, despite the high carbon fiber content. Madwheels were an obvious choice for this build because they're one of the best urethane wheels you can get, and fit with the drop-through Boardnamics limited edition RKP trucks. We went with a split of 33/48 in rear and forward to give a nice combination of turning capability and stability. Paired with 93/87a riptide bushings, we have a really maneuverable and snappy little build! Please feel free to ask any and all questions in the comments!
