Planning Pathways & Areas for Movement – Room Layout for Home Interior Design Space Planning

Join me to learn about an essential home interior design element of space planning and how to set aside space for circulation and space for movement in your home. We'll explore what to think about when planning areas we set aside just for movement and circulation around a room, how to create a pathway or walkway that makes sense with your room layout, and how much space a pathway needs to be to ensure an easy flow and route. The ideal situation when planning your furniture layout in a room is that you plan where to place a pathway first before placing all of your furniture, and that the flow from one area to another is natural, direct, and without any obstructions. But the reality of planning out a room is not always so straightforward, so I have some interior design tips on making adjustments and you can see an example of this in a living room furniture layout at the timestamp of 09:55.
