In this video, I’m diving into one of the weirdest custom Super Mario 64 levels I have ever seen, titled "Mario Has Broken Every Bone in His Body." The premise is exactly what it sounds like: after a hilarious introductory cutscene where Mario takes a nasty fall down the stairs, our hero is left completely lifeless and limp. This isn't your standard platforming adventure because you don't actually control Mario directly. Instead, the gameplay completely shifts mechanics and turns into something much closer to Super Monkey Ball, where I have to tilt the entire stage to roll Mario’s ragdoll body toward the goal while trying to navigate some truly janky physics and bizarre geometry. Throughout the playthrough, things get progressively more chaotic as I try to master the art of sliding a lifeless plumber around these custom maps. The is full of late 2000s-style memes, weird font choices, and sound effects that have Mario screaming in my ear every time he falls off the map. I encounter everything from jump pads that launch me uncontrollably into the void to a literal "Mario Plinko" stage that tests my patience. There are moments where I try to take the "slow and steady" approach to keep Mario safe, and other times where I just have to go for a "Hail Mary" play, flinging the camera around and hoping he lands in the right spot. The struggle is real in this one, especially when the stage geometry blocks the camera or when the momentum just doesn't make sense, but the sheer absurdity of the cutscenes keeps it entertaining. The ultimate goal of this entire fever dream is to reach the legendary Bone Fixing Machine at the end of the course. I won’t spoil the exact details of the finale, but let’s just say that after all the effort to put Mario back together, the ending cutscene delivers a plot twist that is both tragic and absolutely hilarious. If you enjoy seeing me suffer through broken physics, and meme-filled gaming moments, make sure to subscribe for more content like this, and drop an F in the chat for Mario’s poor limbs.
