We find the mysterious Crantock cave carvings. Scrummy coffee & cake. Dogs having fun on the beach

Tag along with us on Crantock beach where we stop off at Cargo Coffee, a converted military vehicle that sits on the beach throughout the summer months selling the most delicious cakes, sandwiches, coffee and more. We highly recommend trying them if you visit Crantock beach! They are such lovely people too. We finish our coffee and cakes and take a stroll along the beach so the dogs can have a run and a swim in all the lovely pools the tide leaves when it goes out. We then start to explore the caves along the end of the beach to find the old mysterious cave carvings at the mouth of one of the caves. Why and who carved the pictures into the rocks still remains a mystery till this day. Was it in memory of a woman and her horse who drowned on the beach? Or was it in memory of an artists only sister who died? Please check the tide times before exploring caves as tides change very quickly and you can be cut off before you even realise.
